Or at least they pretend to know more:
Aren't they amazing?

  1. Great video there, Ferguson destroyed them with the truth, unvarnished truth at that.

  2. they are so pathetic Chris that they will tell us how great Obama is doing even as the country goes down in flames. I wish I knew what their motivation is.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Well Lisa, I myself am not interested in their motivation as much as I am about ridding our nation of a biased press (either way), political correctness, multi-culturalism, RINO's and out-and-out socialism.

  4. That is why the internet is so important to truth seeking people. Look at the effect of the web disseminating information in Egypt! I have NO faith in the mainstream media. None.

  5. Move over Lebron, this guy knows how to slam dunk. Had the NBC Cavs fast breaking backwards.

  6. In his interview on Morning Joe, Ferguson stated that Mr. Obama's foreign policy team was 2nd and 3rd rate and not include first rate statesmen like Zbignew Brzezinski and Henry Kissenger.

One of Niall Ferguson's admired statesmen, Brzezinski, has stated that Mr. Obama did NOT "blow it."

"On the heels of Monday’s lively discussion with Niall Ferguson, whose cover story in Newsweek brands President Obama’s handling of the uprising in Egypt a failure, MSNBC’s Morning Joe returned to the question Tuesday morning with former national security adviser–and Mika Brzezinski’s Dad–Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski. Brzezinski dismissed the suggestion that Obama necessarily “blew it.”

“The fact is the United States and the White House weren’t all that central to the events in Egypt,” said Brzezinski, who credits coverage of the uprising by Al Jazeera and the extensive use of social media by protesters for the rapid pace of events in Cairo. “We weren’t that central to these events.”

“We don’t know how this is going to turn out, so let’s be very careful whether it’s a triumph or a massive setback. We just don’t know.”

Prof. Ferguson's opinion is not a difinitive one. It's one of many, and not necessarily correct.

BTW, Prof. Ferguson admires Henry Kissinger, a man who is considered an international war criminal and who cannot leave this country without danger of being arrested and brought to trial in international court for war crimes.

On a personal note, Prof. Ferguson had extra-marital affairs and cheated on his wife and mother of his 3 children and is now married to Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

Family values mean so much to the conservatives, that I thought I'd include Prof. Ferguson's.

  7. @ Shaw,,,

Harvard Prof. + Newsweek contributor + Philanderer = A LIBERAL.

One would think you would put more stock in his opinion given his credentials.

    ReplyDelete
  8. @ Christopher

Senator David Vitter + prostitute = A CONSERVATIVE

Senator John Ensign + philanderer + briber = A CONSERVATIVE

Senator Larry Craig + sex solicitor in a public restroom = A CONSERVATIVE

Rep. Mark Foley + pedophile = A CONSERVATIVE

House Majority Leader Rep. Tom Delay + convicted felon = A CONSERVATIVE

Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich + financial improprieties leading to House reprimand and $300,000 in sanctions and resignation = A CONSERVATIVE

Don't bother listing the names of Democrats who were involved in scandals, I know who they are.

I'm just answsering your snide remark which is significant of nothing.

Conservatives and Liberals equally engage in all sorts of scandalous behavior.

Niall Ferguson a liberal? Oh yeah. That's why he supported McCain against Obama in the last presidential election.

    ReplyDelete
  9. na-na-na-na-na Shaw thanks for correcting the "Harvard Graduate"
Always nice to see your corrections against anyone who dare criticize the president.

    Ditto on what Christopher wrote

Harvard Prof. + Newsweek contributor + Philanderer = A LIBERAL. but I will add to that = Obama the guy who is all knowing and will not be disputed.....EVER!
And by the way Obama can never fail with the likes of all the media support he gets and Media Matter's war on all who dare have dissent against our "historical" president, even when he wets his finger and holds it up in the wind.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Yes Indeed Lisa, this is further proof that liberalism is a mental disorder. They hear Obama the snake oil salesman say something and they swear to it's truth. And then these sicko's keep saying that they have indeed proven something when it is factual in their own sick minds only. And they are the first ones to call you "delusional" In the real world these people would be put in mental institutions until their illness had been brought under control, if it were at all possible.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Lisa, the facts dispute your claim. The media have published Niall Ferguson's article criticizing Mr. Obama, and MSNBC gave Mr. Ferguson plenty of time to expound on why he thinks Obama "blew it."

I gave you an opposing opinion--one of Prof Ferguson's admired statesmen, Brizezinski, a former secretary of state, who disagrees with Ferguson's assessment.

I didn't correct anyone. And the guy who can't stop talking about Mrs. Obama's dresses and derriere calls liberals mentally ill?

Perfect. That's exactly the tactic the Commies in Russia used to shut up any opposing point of view--they called those who disagree with their regime mentally ill and sent them away forever--that's malcontent's wish for liberals.

He's your pal, not mine, and he apparently admires Communist tactics, since it is his own words that tell us so.

It is YOU, Lisa, who got all in a snit because I pointed out Ferguson is giving his opinion.

And thank you for show us all how much import you give to Harvard graduates and their opinions. Mr. Obama is a Harvard graduate, if you recall, so if you think Ferguson is brilliant for having a Harvard degree, then so is Mr. Obama. Both of them graduated magna cum laude.

    ReplyDelete
  12. that was point Shaw that Obama was a Harvard Graduate and because of that you give him credence on everything he does.
What I would like to know is where he practiced law. Maybe you can find that for us please.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Lisa, this is what you wrote: "MSNBC Reporters know more than Harvard Historian
Or at least they pretend to know more:
    Aren't they amazing?"

YOU are the one giving credence to Prof. Ferguson, implying HE has to be correct because unlike MSNBC reporters, Ferguson is a Harvard historian! You're the one using a Harvard education and employment as a cudgel to prove Ferguson is superior in knowledge to MSNBC reporters. It's right there in your own words.

Mr. Obama taught Constitutional law. Not everyone who earns a law degree actually practices law. Many people who have law degrees choose to teach. I can't believe you don't know this.

And FYI, Obama DID practice law briefly, and effectively, according to the head of his former firm.

All of this information is available on google for people who actually care about looking at the facts and are not so lazy that they expect others to do it for them.

    ReplyDelete
  14. That's the problem the liberals study constitutional law so they can twist it to fit their agenda. Frankly they would be better of if they had a business degree so they could actually know how to manage something.

  16. Humm, well lets see, did Beck, O'Reilly , Hannity, Goldberg (I'm guessing that you mean Bernard Goldberg) or Pailin or Limbargh ever make me go out and kill people? I can't remember but NONE come to mind..

And I don't even use a "Skull and Crossbones" as my avatar.

And by the way, I think that you have Ronald Reagan confused with Barack Obama's Good Ole friends in the Black Panthers!

    Glenn Beck, Self-Appointed "Progressive Hunter"
The poisoned atmosphere unleashed by Glenn Beck and Fox News means any citizen - Democrat, Centrist, or Republican - can be slandered in public and targeted for persecution. Beck pitches his messages at unhinged misfits who are most likely to act on impulse, and events have shown that violent rhetoric leads to violent acts. There is no plausible deniability that can remove this blood from Beck’s hands:

Man Shoots Two California Highway Patrol Officers:

Accused Gunman Acknowledges Influence of Glenn Beck

Three Pittsburgh Police Officers Ambushed and Killed:

Gunman Posted Glenn Beck Video on White Supremacist Website

Federal Prison for Man Who Threatened Senator Murray:

Glenn Beck Cast Spell on Accused Man, Says Family

Federal Prison for Man Who Threatened House Speaker Pelosi:

"Frankly they would be better of if they had a business degree so they could actually know how to manage something."

Oh yeah. Like George W. Bush had, and wasn't it amazing how exceptionally well he drove our economy into the ground in the summer of 2008. George W. Bush, the MBA president, had the worst record of creating jobs of any modern president. Or are you still in Fantasyland about that fact as well? Dispute it if you dare.

If you don't want to talk about facts, then you're taking yourself out of any rational discussion.

  21. A message for tha malcontent and lisa:

Lisa Constitutional Law says that I am 3/5 of a human being. I didn't hear the Tea Baggers read that part.

Mal the skull and crossbones are to honor the Maroons. There brave prople excape slavery in Brazil, Haiti, the West Indies , and the southern coast of America. a young slave inSuriname called Jolly Coeur invented the word Mother Fucker when he seen his mother being raped by the slave master. When he grew up he found him and killed him and used his head for a bowling ball. Yes MF means white or slave master.

This was Kid's Black History moment!

    ReplyDelete
  22. And Kid if you're gonna post things a link to prove it would be nice otherwise we will assume you just "Made It Up" or Media Matters made it up to further their assault against FOX.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Shaw Bush didn't have to create any obs because the unemployment rate was at an all time low.
There are many things that contributed to the economic collapse. It'a how we go about trying to do something about it besides racking up more debt by borrowing and printing funny money.

    ReplyDelete
  24. So Kid does tha mean all citizens ofBrazil,West Indies and Haiti racist too. And lets not forget about Europeans being they were the ones who owned slaves here. And we may as well throw Africa in there too being they helped round up people to send here for slavery.
Heck lets go back to Rome and the Middle East too while we are at it although Somalia and the Middle East still have slavery in the form of women.

    ReplyDelete
  25. J.G. Stedman, a British veteran of Dutch wars against African maroons in Suriname, detailed the story of the African maroon leader Jolly Coeur, who as a young boy was a horrified witness to the rape of his mother by a slaveowner, one Schults. As an adult Jolly Coeur avenged his mother's rape by flaying Schults, using his skin to keep his powder dry and employing the slaveowner's head to play bowls on the beach. (J.G. Stedman, Narrative of a Five Year's Expedition Against the Revolted Negroes of Surinam).

Goggle the word MF (if Beck still lets you) and you will see the meaning.

    ReplyDelete
  26. And he was exiled from the country music community because of it.
You want to talk about violence? They had to close a school in my state due to gang violence. A women and her 5 year old son were shot and killed by a gang and dumped in the woods like trash. A 26 year old women was shot and killed at a party because she wouldn't let party crashers in. A 12 year old boy was shot in the face playing basketball and another young women shot in a drive by because of mistaken identity. How many of those have we heard about? Innocent people getting killed .
The owner of a video store that I used to go to was shot and killed by a guy who he gave a roof over his head to . He was so kind and generous and that was the thanks he got. When that happened the people he let live in his house had nowhere to go thanks to gun violence.
It's rampant and and I am sure they don't watch FOX NEWS or Glenn Beck. And I am sure they don't listen to country music either.

    ReplyDelete
  27. LISA: "Shaw Bush didn't have to create any obs because the unemployment rate was at an all time low."

"There are many things that contributed to the economic collapse. It'a how we go about trying to do something about it besides racking up more debt by borrowing and printing funny money."

Do you want me to post another one of his songs?

And for the record making a song called Nobama doens't mean your racist it just means what you can't seem to get through your one sided head.
How about if they made a song calld American Idiot and a Broadway Play to follow? Not racist because it's about a white president? It's called dissent not racism.
    Look it up!

That's what people despise about this admin.
You now what's racist th act that the democrat party put up Obama and got the media to prop him up so they can "use" him to push through unpopular policy and call anyone who objects to it racist.

  36. Wow, this was a fun thread to read! Let me join the party!

It's funny how the conservatives over here are touting Niall's Harvard background because they agree with him. If he had said just the opposite, the conservatives likely would have referred to him derisively as a Harvard elite who doesn't know what he's talking about. As Shaw said, Niall offered his opinion of how the Obama administration handled the situation in Egypt. Niall's opinion isn't the last word on the topic.

Lisa, you mentioned that Media Matters makes things up to further their assault against FOX. Can you back up that claim with solid facts?

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'm just spouting like they do . They said an ex Fox employee said Fox makes up things yet they don't name the person or say what they made up. Just playing the same game Malcolm

    ReplyDelete
  38. Malcolm the whole point of what I posted was to watch the MSNBC reporters getting all defensive. They do it all the time . And just to watch their faces while someone dare say anything negative about their dear leader is worth a thousand words in and of itself.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Who the hell cars what he is or what you are?

Kid does . He can't get through a day without finding something to be bitter about.
Kid you should smile more its good for you complexion.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Lisa: Whenever there’s an anonymous source (such as the one Media Matters cited in the case you referred to), I take it with a grain of salt. However, Media Matters has a proven track record of providing ample audio/video evidence of the folks on Fox and other right-wing media outlets spouting misinformation or flat out lies. The lies Media Matters exposes may not be to your liking, but I challenge you to prove them wrong.

I don’t think the MSNBC people were getting defensive as much as they were challenging Niall. I don’t see anything wrong with that. Now if you call that defensive, I wonder how you’d describe Michelle Malkin’s reaction to Karl Rove’s criticism of Tea Party darling Christine O’Donnell right before the mid-terms last year. I thought it was hilarious when Karl veered from the script when he was on Hannity’s show and actually had the courage to say there were legitimate concerns about Christine. I’m not a Karl Rove fan and I don’t know if he had an ulterior motive, but he was right about Christine. For Michelle to say Karl was “vicious and uncivil” was defensive and more than a bit over-the-top.

Also, as much you and others want to think MSNBC is completely in the tank for President Obama, that theory doesn’t hold up to the facts. I have heard several of the MSNBC anchors and contributors criticize Obama. The difference is that there criticism is legitimate and based on policy issues. Not like most of the folks at Fox and right-wing talk radio who make it a habit of criticizing him for everything. If they aren’t hurling baseless accusations at him (Obama is a Communist, Maoist, and any other negative “ist” they can come up with) they are jabbing him with petty/childish criticisms (the type of mustard he uses on his hamburger, the style of pants he wore down to the Gulf during the BP oil spill, etc.).

    ReplyDelete
  41. Malcom who does media matters have a proven track record with? If they have proven that there are lies the where are the lawsuits? Their whole goal is take team of people to monitor conservative speech and take a sound bite and take it out of context .
I guess you missed it when Obama said Fox is a legitimate news organization?

MSNBC reporters aren't in the tank for Obama? Are we watching the same MSNBC?
Talk radio I think criticize him more on his policies . It's not like the subject of their criticisms are of what he is eating or wearing. I see hat more on the blogs but then again I have seen alot worse abut Sarah Palin and that started the day after the RNC.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Lisa: Media Matters has a proven track record with people who have eyes, ears, and an ounce of objectivity. Unfortunately, it isn't against the law to deliberately lie or distort the news on a television broadcast. If it was, Fox would have been out of business years ago.

    http://ceasespin.org/ceasespin_blog/ceasespin_blogger_files/fox_news_gets_okay_to_misinform_public.html

Besides, the lack of lawsuits doesn't mean Fox and other right-wing media figures haven't been guilty of spreading lies and misinformation on a consistent basis. Since you accused Media Matters of taking sound bites out of context, can you provide me with examples? Here are a few examples of Fox News' dishonesty in an effort to smear President Obama:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsqX6PmlYAw

    http://diversityink.blogspot.com/2010/06/glenn-beck-plays-race-card-from-bottom.html

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yn7_8QL2weQ

Do you care to defend Fox in these examples? Be careful if you do. You might get dizzy spells trying to spin your way out of this one.

Are you are referring to President Obama's recent interview with Bill O'Reilly in which the president said Fox News has a point of view and he respects it? If so, that is not the same thing as saying Fox is a legitimate news organization. Even if President Obama did say they were legit, I'd totally disagree with him.

Are you telling me that MSNBC has never criticized President Obama? If you are, I have to question how much you watch MSNBC. Because most of their opinion people lean towards the left, it stands to reason that they will agree with Obama a majority of the time. However, to say they are in the tank for him isn't even close to the truth. Although Cenk Uygur is a progressive, he is a vocal critic of President Obama. Just yesterday, Ed Schultz disagreed with Obama's handling of the teacher's strike in Madison, WI.

We can go 'round and 'round about who gets it worse, President Obama or Sarah Palin, but it's a pointless argument. Let me ask you this: Do you think there has ever been any criticism of Sarah Palin that has been fair and legitimate?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hey Kid, will Michelle Obama donate her tail to science?

If you're even dreaming of holding them or PMSNBC out as even remotely unbiased, you better wake up and apologize.

What a bunch of utter nonsense- "Country music is racist". Only a racist would say such a thing, obviously never having listened to country music. FYI- I listen to country and so do all my friends. NONE of us listen to DAC, but his racism doesn't change the face that his other music is good.

Sorta like the fact that OJ Simpson sawed two people to bits doesn't mean he wasn't a great football player.

Nice try. But "Tu Quoque" isn't actually an argument, so much as a feeble attempt at deflection.

Aside from one thing having nothing to do with the other, pedophile priests aren't sitting there preaching hate like ObaMugabe's self-admitted 'spiritual mentor'did every Sunday for the twenty years they worshiped under his guidance, whatever evils they committed in private. Not to mention, last time I checked, US Catholics HAD denounced them, loudly at that. Have the billions of dollars in lawsuits filed by them escaped your keen eye for injustice, Shaft?

Hush yo' mouf! I'm jus' talkin' 'bout Shaft!

FYI- I was one of five white kids out of 600 black kids in high school. My brother-in-law is black. My best friend of 17 years happens to be black. I don't discriminate against people based on skin color, nor does anyone I know- so it's time people like you stopped fulfilling George Washington Carver's eerily prescient warning by insisting on the central importance of your perpetual status as victims. That isn't the way to justice, or equality. As for that 3/5ths bullshit- you might want to read the amendments to the Constitution (The "Bill Of Rights"), wherein that was remedied. You DO know, I'm sure, that the '3/5ths' provision was inserted in the Constitution specifically to prevent the slavery states from claiming the population necessary to wield undue influence over the non-slavery states. I mean, you DO learn SOMETHING in Black History Month, don't you???

And for what it's worth, I hate the white half of President ObaMugabe too. He's a Watermelon as far as I'm concerned- "Green" on the outside, and Red on the inside.

Some of my best relatives and friends are black. Oh, and President ObaMugabe eats watermelons.

    Yuk. Yuk.

And BTW, Bacon Dude, Obama did denunce Wright, even though Wright had every right to denounce how white America treated him and his race for hundreds of years.

But all you white folks see things in a very white way and will never, never, never, no matter how many black brothers-in-laws or happen to be black "friends" you have, will EVER, EVER understand what it means to be black in a white racist society.

  56. Maybe he does, in fact, eat watermelons. Of course, if I had meant to make that into a racial slur I would have. Obviously I didn't.

    But you did.

And you're proving George Washington Carver (and myself) correct with your utter horseshit about the so-called 'white racist society'.

Please- PLEASE- tell me how, in this 'white racist' dystopia you imagine, a black man managed to become the most powerful man in the world?

    This nonsense simply beggars belief.

No, Bacon dude, you tell ME why of all the presidents we have had elected in our 222 year history, our first bi-racial one is THE ONLY ONE that the opposition party does not believe is a citizen.

52% of Republicans do not believe Mr. Obama is an American citizen--no other president's citizenship has EVER been called into question.

Those who belong to that 52% are either 1) ignorant or 2) too cowardly to admit to themselves that they hold racist feelings against Mr. Obama.

Mr. Obama was born in Hawaii, and yet a majority of Republicans will not accept that fact.

Coincidence that this has happed to our first half African-American president?

What I saw there and what I have read here only goes to show how Stupid, Uninformed, and Racist you are! And it also shows that the misnomer that Blacks Can’t Be Racist because because their great, great, great, great, grandparents suffered under slavery is such Bull-Shit that it drips from YOUR lips every time you say anything.
And as for your ASS-Hole hero's the Black Panthers, be informed that they were and are terrorist just like the bastards that crashed into the World Trade Towers. Yes, I put those sons of bitches in the very same category. And as for you telling me about "White Folks taking "THEIR" own money from Indian Casinos, that remark shows me and the world that YOU are as dumb as you sound. Your posts are more outrageous than anyone can imagine.
What are "White" folks supposed to do with their winning from Indian Casinos? Put it in the poor box before they leave? Is that what "Black folks" do?
And what in the wold does that have to do with the topic that Lisa wrote about? Or did you just want to insert your slanderous charge of white racism?
Let me remind you that WHITE PEOPLE HAVE CIVIL RIGHTS ALSO! And yes, “White Folks” as YOU call them, have hardships, and suffer from, discrimination also. Especial Jewish People and Irish People and Italian people.

And by the way, I never owned a slave personally and neither did my White Parents or my White Grandparents, and no one in MY family ever kept any black man down, not that I know of in the past 100 or so years.… So get over it. Or don’t! Who cares?

  67. Shaw,

Your intellectual laziness and dishonesty are simply appalling. You seem to have only the most basic tools at your disposal, like avoidance, Tu Quoque, and denial.

One more time, Princess- please explain how a nation of racists elected a black man.

As for ObaMugabe's putative citizenship, peoples' skepticism (I guess your intellectual curiosity ends before the question of how many Democrats ALSO doubt the President's citizenship, eh?) might just be motivated by the fact that of 44 men elected President, he is the ONLY one who has refused to provide proof of his birth. His campaign team even had the balls to offer up a fake COLB that was sent to them by some anonymous blogger, who laughingly admitted how easy it was to fake. Open it up yourself in Photoshop, and the archived changes cover the page. You can't deny it's as fake as the docs your side got busted for trying to smear a sitting President with, back in 2004.

    Or, maybe this is why...

Obama has been documented to have used a number of different SSIDs in his life, including one used while he was studying at Occidental, that had been created by the school to allow foreign students without SSIDs to use SSID-based school services.

Another, used while working a part-time job, was from a block of numbers issued in the late 1970s in Connecticut- years after his birth, in a place he had never been.

Finally, there is a third discreet number associated with Obama's address at the Hart Senate office he occupied during his brief, unfinished term as a Senator.

So, when you're done explaining how a nation of Klansmen chose a black man to lead them, you can get started on trying to find an excuse for ObaMugabe's lies over his birth status.

I for one, have no doubt he was born in Hawaii- but I think his commie-fetishizing whore of a mother pulled some stunt affecting his citizenship status when he was a child, and he's had to bend over backwards to conceal it.

It's a shame, because there are so MANY MANY other reasons he should be impeached, tried, and then hung if found guilty.

I, for one, am not in love with the notion that I, and my descendants in perpetuity, will have to bear such a burden for our supposed equals.

When does your victim-hood, and our subsequent obligations, end? When will you begin to accept some responsibility for your social condition, and cease to attribute it to our racism? When will we even be able to ask such a question without triggering an outpouring of accusations from the likes of you?

The fact that Shaw Kenawe has come to the rescue of this A-Hole know as Kid only goes to show the lack of credibility that she has. Obama is by far the most inept president that this country has ever had. He has proved that by turning this country into a socialist nation by giving to the a-hole that don’t contribute anything to the well-being of America , and taking from those who do. . The country should be ashamed of his policies, unless they agree with the condition that the country is in. So sorry, but if you disbelieve me, the burden of disproving me is on you.

Fact: The number associated with ObaMugabe at Office 713 in the Hart building begins with 282. That's a fact you won't be able to change no matter how you try.

Fact: ObaMugabe's recent tax filings list his SSID as beginning with 042. Another fact, easily verified, that you can't change with all the lying, obfuscating, and spurious accusations of racism.

    Bottom line is this:

You aren't my equal, and you never will be as long as you insist racism is responsible for your sorry-ass lives. If you called me a racist to my face, I'd be hard pressed to contain my anger and not slug you.

  98. Malcolm if an organization spends their entire life picking apart things I am sure we would be able to find incontinences with MSNBC but then suing them is like sing the president. It's Media Matters who are the ones who seem to have the big agenda being the billionaire Soros has the most at stake in his investment(Obama).

I still would like to hear what "false" story being told to be reported, but I won't hold my breath.
As for that Beck Video each side will make what they will out of it. Although I am sure if it were Bush or Beck for that matter who referred to inner city kids as "Those people"or calling them typical black people I would not like it either.

Also Bill O'Rielley never denied that FOX reported the cost of the India Trip. He said that it came from a guy in India. Although I wouldn't be surprised if it cost 200 million altogether. But hat tip to the army of organizations going after Fox and turning it into the biggest news story of the century.

And the Hannity video yes he should have played the whole thing but it doesn't cancel out the fact of the American Arrogance Comment. Because by calling America Arrogant or whatever it is insulting because he is talking about all of us.
I know Obama loves this country maybe it's just a few "Typical" white people acting "Stupidly" who are just paranoid.

  100. Lisa: It cracks me up how the conservative media and its followers have such a problem with Media Matters. I hear people like Rush, O'Reilly, and Beck often demonize MM (calling them smear merchants, accusing them of taking things out of context, etc.), yet they never provide any proof. Apparently, saying it is enough for their audience because I hear people such as yourself parrot those same talking points.

Here's an example of a story that Fox has fabricated and which has turned into one of their "go to" topics: The War on Christmas. There is no such thing. Saying there is a war on Christmas is just another way Fox plays the "us vs. them" game which they do so well.

Newsbusters.org is an organization designed to point out liberal bias. If there were instances of MSNBC lying and distorting on the level of Fox, Newsbusters and other conservative outlets would have been all over it. By the way, I don't see anyone on the left get worked up over Newsbusters nearly as much as you guys do about Media Matters.

O'Reilly's excuse that the lie about the cost of Obama's trip came from a guy in India is lame. We know where it came from, but that doesn't let the people at Fox who reported it as true off the hook. I know it's probably a foreign concept to some of them, but there is a little thing called fact checking. A kid who writes for their school paper would know to check their sources before running with a story.

As for the Hannity clip, at least we're making progress because you did admit he should have played the whole thing. However, you are splitting hairs over the "America has been arrogant" comment. Come on now Lisa, show some objectivity. You know damn well that President Obama wasn't calling every single American arrogant. He was speaking generally. Think about it. When anybody talks about the greatness of America, do you really think they are including murderers, rapists, child molesters, etc.?

What kills me is that conservatives such as yourself seem unwilling to ever call out anyone on your side. It takes someone like me to back you into a corner in order for you to do it. Take the Glenn Beck clip I linked to earlier. If the situation was reversed and it was a liberal pundit doing a hatchet job on Bush, you would have slammed him or her for it and you would have been right. You see, wrong is wrong... it shouldn't matter what side of the political fence the person stands.

    ReplyDelete

I don't know damn well that Obama wasn't' calling every American Arrogant. It's still insulting to have the president who represents a country saying something like that.. But he was in his element with a captured audience of impressionable young people.
