Matthew McConaughey Gives Out Valuable Life Advice During Commencement Speech

Sharing his best life advice with the graduates at the university where his father "Big Jim" McConaughey once played for the football team, he also warned the Class of 2015 to "not fall into the entitlement trap of feeling like a victim," said McConaughey. "You are not. Get over it and get on with it. Yes most things are more rewarding when you break a sweat to get them."

  2. Well, yes, but how about the millions and millions who sweat their butts off every day for a subsistence wage and never get a chance to even try for upward mobility?

Before the Marxian-Fabian-Communist-Progressive-Liberal-Socialist-Statist-Dictocrats attacked our once beautiful system and all but destroyed it, many millions of poverty-stricken Europeans and Chinese came here with NOTHING under harsh conditions on the mere CHANCE that this "Land of Opportunity," as it was then called, would enable them to make a fortune or at least give their children a better chance at living a better life.

What those brave people did with NOTHING but HOPE and the willingness to work as hard as God would let them was nothing short of miraculous.

I know, because my maternal grandparents came through Ellis Island in the 1880's with nothing in their pockets and only the clothes on their backs. Their CHILDREN, however, became college graduates. One of my uncles was an eminent physician, another the president of a successful corporation, the other became a published composer who played the cello in tNew York theater orchestras, and toured the world with a string quartet playing for the first-class passengers on a luxury liner. My grandpa never made more than 20 bucks a week, but he raised EIGHT children in New York City, and my grandma stayed home to clean, cook, wash, iron, mend, make new clothes on her treadle sewing machine, bake bread each day, and see that her children were decently dressed, got to school on time, and did all did their homework before she'd let them eat dinner.

Despite what-must-seem-like-poverty-to-us-today, Grandpa was able to save enough from his small wage to enable him to buy property in New Jersey and build a large, two-family house on acreage with a small apple and peach orchard and a huge vegetable garden.

Everyone worked hard, and they all pulled together –– "the older ones always helping the younger ones," as one of my aunts often said.

That was America BEFORE World War Two and the horrible things Woodrow Wilson did and the even worse things that were to come from FDR's God-forsaken Socialist Brain Trust.

    2. And, again, you missed the whole message of FT's comment.
      Amazing.

    3. No, Z, I believe FT's "message" is anecdotal and not completely representative of the time.

    4. Thank you, Z, but you'd be apt to get better results whistling Dixie down a drainpipe than trying to reason with Canardo.

The "Entemann" is a determined "Oppositionist". No matter what you or I may say, he is bound and determined to mock it, scorn it, reject it, and deny it any credibility.

It's just the way he is. I don't think it's possible for anyone ever to reform him.

A new word for him and all his kind:

      They are SARCASTICISTS. ;-)

  5. She did it again!
And this POS is what these Crap Sandwiches want for their Leader?

Hillary Clinton has been caught in another lie regarding her private email accounts that she used during her tenure at the agency.

Though her lawyer David Kendall told the House Select Benghazi Committee that Clinton’s “hrod17@clintonemail.com” email address “was not an address that existed during Secretary Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State,” new emails obtained by the New York Times show that Clinton did indeed use that email address for official business.

I wonder what else that lying twit was hiding in the other 50,000 e-mails that she destroyed. And just to think that those Progressive Morons want us to forget Benghazi? Are they kidding? We must never, ever forget Benghazi!

  8. No, we must never, ever forget Benghazi..

And they knew 10 days in advance an attack was planned and did NOTHING to prevent it or secure embassy staff. TEN DAYS!!!!!! The they have the audacity to claim it was a spontaneous attack due to a video? This is treason, Everyone involved deserves to be in prison

  9. All politicians are pond scum but the clintons, BJ and the Beast, inspire a new definition for low life. We need to remember that the election is not about honesty or leadership but about the economy and how much free stuff is promised.
The idea of creating jobs and raising the participation rate is a myth because the entitlement class has no intention of raising above the level the democrats have set for them.
Hough's comments are so offensive because they are so true.
Tell people they have no opportunities long enough and they will believe it.

  10. As usual the left wing media and the Clintons I am sure are now brainstorming on how to make this look like just another "distraction".
Can you imagine if a republican gave the same lame excuses the left wing elitists do? The big story 24/7 would be how the "republican" did what Hillary did.
Meanwhile they have all the idiots who don't pay attention convinced that democrats are so wonderful while they rake in millions of dollars and bash the rich.
