Global Warming Alert

The Washington Post

The Arctic Ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot, according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from Consulate, at Bergen, Norway.
Reports from fishermen, seal hunters, and explorers all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone. Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes.
Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulf stream still very warm. Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well-known glaciers have entirely disappeared.
Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while vast shoals of herring and smelts which have never before ventured so far north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds. Within a few years it is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make most coastal cities uninhabitable.

I apologize, I neglected to mention that this report was from November 2, 1922, as reported by the AP and published in The Washington Post - 90 years ago.

  1. One thing we can be sure of; one day life as we know it on earth will no longer exist. Certainly when the sun becomes a white dwarf. If life exists for that long.

    2. excuse me but you really need a friggin link? Do you not listen to his rhetoric? He doesn't have to come out and actually say it when everything he says is insinuating it.

Why not call it emmissions control? I guess it doesn't sound as threatening.

    2. Fact is whether or not climate change is man made or not it make sense to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. The earth has a limited supply and,; our dependence on foreign oil is not a good thing. Especially in the global political climate we exist in today.

  6. The warming phenomena observed in 1922 proved to be indicative only of a local event in Spitzbergen, not a trend applicable to the Arctic as a whole.

But as usual the Teabags eat whatever is put on their plate with no analysis or reflection.
It's unfortunate that these low information flakes have the franchise.

I, personally, would rather freeze than go anywhere near any such dubious source of "warmth" PHEW!

  9. The fact that the liberal skewed media refuses to look at both sides of the climate argument should be evidence enough that they realize global warming theory is flawed.

  10. Our dear leader tell us to do what we can to help solve global warming. Every little bit counts, they say. They are lying to you. Look at the truth of what would happen if you actually listened to their advice. It's one thing to have a political opinion. It's another thing when they intentionally lie to you to gain power.

    Thanks, dear heart.

Now do you have the freaking brains or the freaking sac to reply to that substantive statement with a counter argument or are you just going to pul your dick?

  14. President George W. Bush is a class act who has spent more than six years avoiding attacking President Barack Obama. That’s because, in his view, Presidents shouldn’t criticize each other. Former President Jimmy Carter was a constant annoyance throughout the Bush presidency, as was President Clinton… and Bush wanted to take the high road. Bush has always respected the White House and the job of Commander in Chief too much to disrespect it

  15. Continued;
But Bush is also a patriot. And President Obama’s tyrannical and illegal actions are so dangerous that Bush just broke his silence. He felt like he had to speak up on the lifting of sanctions of Iran, because of the serious danger that puts America. Iran wants nuclear arms, and Bush – more than anyone- knows how scary that is. WOW:

According to multiple reports on a closed-door Saturday event with Jewish donors, Bush offered his harshest public assessment of President Barack Obama’s foreign affairs .

According to multiple reports on a closed-door Saturday event with Jewish donors, Bush offered his harshest public assessment of President Barack Obama’s foreign policy.

Bloomberg’s Josh Rogin reported that Bush said Obama had caused the US to “retreat” around the world and that Obama had charted the wrong course in his nuclear negotiations with Iran.

“He also said Obama was misreading Iran’s intentions while relaxing sanctions on Tehran too easily,” Rogin wrote of Bush’s remarks at a Nevada event hosted by the Republican Jewish Coalition. “Bush said that Obama’s plan to lift sanctions on Iran with a promise that they could snap back in place at any time was not plausible.

“He also said the deal would be bad for American national security in the long term: ‘You think the Middle East is chaotic now? Imagine what it looks like for our grandchildren. That’s how Americans should view the deal.'”

Bush further criticized Obama for pulling US troops out of Iraq too quickly in 2011, though Obama has insisted his hands were tied on the matter. Both Rogin and The New York Times reported that Bush quoted Sen. Lindsey Graham and said, “Pulling out of Iraq was a strategic blunder.

  17. Let's not be neive about this, These aren’t mistakes by Obama! This was all the plan when he took office. I don’t even think he’s the true source of it. I really think this is a conspiracy that made him the front man because honestly, I don’t think he has the intelligence for all that’s taking place. He’s being guided by a corrupt source that has an evil plan to bring America to her knee’s. Didn't he start his presidency with that speech in Cirio when sppoligilized for America's arrigance . He isn’t smart enough to plan all this alone! Alot of people believe what I do. If things don’t go as planned, he will declair Marshall Law and that would be the end of America as we know it. I’ve talked to alot of people about it and they agree. I love America and don’t want to see her fall but I admit I don’t know how to stop it. I pray we last without Marshall Law until after the election. I hope Trump becomes POTUS and can save our America! I think he has the power it will take!! GOD BLESS AMERICA..

  18. In most any poll taken the past few years when people are asked to list the their ten most important issues climate change is usually 8th, 9th or 10th. Its really just an after thought with most people. Of course the Green Goons find the subject something to lose sleep over.

So what? All that would prove is it was no crisis then, just like it is no crisis/a scam now.

  20. RR...are you saying Ducky is a Green Goon? Does Ducky lose sleep over the thought of climate change?

Of course, we know Ducky is a creature of progressive thinking and he believes climate change is one of the most important issues faced by mankind today. I for one could care less about it.
