I Am Never One to Ask for Donations

Except now. In my area a 3 month old pit bull puppy was placed in a plastic bag and thrown from a moving car. A good Samaritan found him and took him into the animal hospital. He has a broken neck and is making good progress.
This story just totally disturbed me and I wanted to do something so if you can spare even 5.00 Joey would be very grateful. If not please pray for his recovery and to find a good home.
I hope they catch the idiot who did this and throw them in jail.

You can follow his progress here:

  1. I hope it turns out well for him Lisa. We have a young Beagle in a wheel chair, and while he has a lot of fun, I sometimes wonder about the choice.

We do need enhanced punishment for animal abuse country wide. Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Maricopa County (Phoenix) did a great job turning up the screws on animal abusers out there.

    1. wow I didn't realize. I guess it's a little easier with a smaller dog. What happened to your dog if you don't mind?
Ir's just so sad that a perfectly functioning dog has this happen to him by some punk. No heart and no soul.

    2. Apparently, All smaller dogs are susceptible to having their soft discs in their spine "calcify". This is what happened, then a small hard piece broke off the disc and get between the spine and the spinal cord which took out the connection to his back legs.

Sometimes the connection will be restored. Ours isn't going to. It's been too long. But he's not that hard to take care of, I just wonder about how he feels. He does have fun, swims with a life jacket, has 5 cat buddiues, etc.

  2. I hope Sheriff Joe fills up his jail cells and makes them wear choker collars and eat from a bowl on the floor.

    1. Joe Is famous for his Tent City for his inmates. In Phoenix in Summer ! :), and the pink underwear he makes them wear. He keeps the animals in his charge in air conditioning and the inmates take care of them.

The inmates get balogna sandwiches to eat. Costs less than a buck a meal.

If they complain, he yells at them that we have soldiers in Iraq in 130 degrees carrying 80 lbs of stuff getting shot at so Shut Up! Man, I love the guy. Under constant attack by libs for decades.

  3. Lisa, here is Webster in his wheelchair.

Depending on how things go with this young fellow, I offer it as an example of how they can get along. It does take a commitment from the owners.

Most asked question is what about # 1 and 2 in the house. #2 isn't much of a problem for us. It's mostly outside. #1 is mostly taken care of with an elasticized diaper holder that you can buy but that my wife has also made a bunch. We change them about every 3 hours. It wraps around his middle and does nothing at the back end. She puts modified baby diapers in it with pins.

It's not foolproof and he can wiggle his way out of it so all the sleeping pillows have the potty pads on top of the pillow with a cover over that.

Any questions come up that I might be able to answer, I'd be happy to.

  4. Poor thing! I'm amazed they didn't just put the pup down!

I have a Pittie from the county pound. She is a wonderful dog! Unfortunately due to the MSM and punk idiots this breed has been given a horrible rap.

All the best to that little dog. It will make a fine companion!

  5. Brooke just so sad to see that innocent face who was taken advantage of by low life thugs.
Thank you for the comment. I am sure ther are many people who are willing to take in Joey. There are good people out there that's for sure.
I wish I could but I live on the 2nd floor in my home and would never be able to get him up and down the stairs.
