Good For Him

  1. "Marino served as a Lycoming County District Attorney from 1992–2002, and was then selected as a U.S. Attorney.

In 2007, Marino resigned from office as U.S. Attorney after a Department of Justice investigation was launched for giving a reference to convicted felon Louis DeNaples, who needed the reference to obtain a license to operate slot machines at his Mount Airy Lodge casino in Eastern Pennsylvania. Marino falsely claimed he had written permission from the Justice Department to issue the reference, and the Justice Department confirmed they did not give permission. Marino resigned while under review by the Department of Justice, and accepted a position as Louis DeNaples in-house attorney for $250,000 per year. Marino's resignation, under Justice Department guidelines, ended the internal affairs probe."

He did all right, wouldn't you say, for a guy who resigned in disgrace for being a liar.

    1. Such an offense is insignificant, indeed, compared to the dreadful, unworkable burden Madame Pelousy railroaded through the House to our detriment.

What Madame Pelousy and her henchpersons did in FOISTING Obamacare on an unwilling nation may have been perfectly "LEGAL," but it was highly IMMORAL as well as DIMWITTED and anti-Democratic.

In addition what THIS president has done in repeatedly thumbing his nose at the Constitution, bypassing congress and incessantly flouting the law has been to deny our citizens government by their duly elected representatives. This president is simply issuing edicts and proclamations as though he were a king. He is getting away with it, because no one in power has the GUTS to stand up to him for fear of being called a "racist."

    2. I guess it is when you put it that way FT. Thank you for that. Well said . It is the sentiments of many Americans for sure. I still see Princess Pelosi walking through the crowds with that gavel in her bony hands thumbing her nose up at the people as they were objecting to this montrosity like she was in a monarchy

  2. Wait...does Marino having had a problem negate the idiocy of Pelosi? Odd that he was elected in spite of all the problems he supposedly had??
There she goes! ... Her finger wagging... he's "Insignificant", she says.
Sadly, he was RIGHT. They did have time to do something about immigration when they had the House and Senate. oooops.

Surprise! We find SOMETHING on Morales (or the latest leftwing rag did) and are supposed to ignore the truth in Lisa's post. Typical.

    1. Excellent point! When you're right, you're right -- no matter what you might have done wrong in the past -- and vice versa, of course.

Is the truth not still the truth -- even when it's uttered by someone who has been known to lie?

    2. Yes he may have lied to save his butt, but we all know this statement he made is correct. Unless I missed something and the dems didn't have both houses fir 2 years

  3. All they did was cram that 2700 page down our throats.
That is a legitimate argument apparently by the left.
Thank you Z for proving the "insignificance" of Shaw's ridiculous claims and thank you Shaw for your" insignificant" defense of one of the richest dems in the congress calling someone insignificant

  4. "Odd that he was elected in spite of all the problems he supposedly had??"

Not "supposedly," Z. He was disgraced for lying. And no, it's not odd that he was elected. Not at all odd. In fact, it's called the double standard. IOKIYAR!

Liars are welcome as long as you have an "R" after your name. You can forgive them anything. Supposedly.

  5. Dear, dear Lisa. I said exactly NOTHING about Nancy Pelosi. Your reading ability is wanting. I merely pointed out that the man you champion is a known liar and had to resign in disgrace. You admire that. Good for you.

    1. What you say in your relentless attacks on Republicans, Miss Shaw, is not the point. It is your implication that a relatively petty matter such as an "illegal" sweetheart deal between political allies on a trivial issue at purely local level ought to disqualify an individual from daring to criticize members of a party whose leaders lie to the public every day about matters involving national and worldwide significance.

Please don't castigate others for applying a double standard when that is precisely what you, yourself, do all the time -- especially at your blog. That may be your privilege, but it is hypocritical when you visit others with a condemnatory attitude for exercising their sovereign right to promote, protect and defend those who stand up for what-they-regard-as their best interests and those of the country.

Acting as though being a Democrat automatically confers sainthood on an individual, while identifying oneself as a Republican is tantamount to pledging allegiance to the Devil, is as absurd -- and dishonest -- as the lengthy, tedious, semi-literate, rudely inflammatory BOILERPLATE posted by self-styled Conservatives every day.

To coin a phrase: "Two wrongs never have and never will make a right," and unless we can -- on BOTH sides -- learn to be honest with ourselves, and stop indulging in blind, naked, irrational partisanship with no greater objective in mind than gaining and holding political power for the sake of being in control, the country will continue to stagnate and eventually molder away onto oblivion.

Unwillingness to acknowledge faults in oneself, while constantly casting aspersions at others, may be perfectly human, but is a clear sign of intellectual and emotional immaturity. That is true for all of us no matter which "side" we choose to identify with.

The difference between us is that I can admit that, but I'm not sure people of your extreme partisan persuasion can.

    1. YES! That was exactly the point I tried to make in too many words, Lisa. Too often the Truth makes hypocrites of Democrats, BUT we must remember the Truth is a two-edged sword. It abhors liars of ANY kind. ;-)

    2. Hey, Kid, you don't really believe that old myth about being turned to stone, do you? I'm not exactly sure which woman you were referring to, but it doesn't matter. What you said confers a lot of power on the person so feared and despised. Be careful. ;-)

  8. The only problem with Lisa's posts is that she don't post them often enough.
And the problem withs Shaw 'a is that we have to read then.

  10. Shaw, you’re an typical Progressive idiot You seem to be under the impression that all of your maliciously distorted opinions are right, though so absurd. I have never, ever encountered someone as egotistical and as viciously arrogant as you. But I must say that your ranting and raving like a idiot in your blog is really great for the entertainment value! And to appreciate the slop in it, I guess that all I have to do is move to Boston.... But...;. NO THANKS!

One has to wonder if you would have defended the policies of Hitler or Chamberlain equally, as you defend Obam’a as if it were the gospel, as a good Marxist should.

  11. Aw, leave poor shaw alone. he's made his point clear, which is namely that we all are stupid, we all suck and should perish in pain. We understand his point of view.

There is simply no use in arguing with liberals such as shaw, folks. Nothing is ever gained. Nobody's mind or heart is ever changed, and only name calling and vitriol prevail. shaw will continue to spew his hate for our philosophy regardless of what any conservative says to the contrary. It's who liberals are, it's what they do.

Let's move on with the issues, shall we? Just a suggestion.

    1. I was going to say the same thing Fred. Truth made good points but the name calling not cool.
By the way Shaw is a woman. I thought you knew that.

    2. By the way Shaw is a woman.

Not a chance. That would imply she is part of the huMAN species which I know is impossible.

Speaking of lesser species: ala General Santa Anna's peg leg on display as a roadside attraction:
which "Ripley's Believe It Or Not" franchise will display the worst lady's tail once we evict her and all her loathsome minions from the White House?

    2. If I said too much, Lisa, I apologize. I never seem to know when to stop when I get stimulated by an issue. I think you know, though, that I mean no harm, don't you?

I do wish you'd comment at my place more often. You're very good at getting straight to the point.

      Cheers!
