Dem judge orders psych counseling for D'Souza

NEW YORK – At a hearing Monday in Manhattan in which he ruled filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza must continue community service for four more years, U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman said he considers D’Souza’s violation of federal campaign-finance laws to be evidence of a psychological problem and ordered further counseling.
D’Souza’s defense counsel Benjamin Brafman provided evidence to the court that the psychiatrist D’Souza was ordered to see found no indication of depression or reason for medication. In addition, the psychologist D’Souza subsequently consulted provided a written statement concluding there was no need to continue the consultation, because D’Souza was psychologically normal and well adjusted.
But Judge Berman, who was appointed by Bill Clinton, disagreed, effectively overruling the judgment of the two licensed psychological counselors the U.S. probation department had approved as part of D’Souza’s criminal sentence.
“I only insisted on psychological counseling as part of Mr. D’Souza’s sentence because I wanted to be helpful,” the judge explained. “I am requiring Mr. D’Souza to see a new psychological counselor and to continue the weekly psychological consultation not as part of his punishment or to be retributive.

Sounds to me like some sort of "Re-Education"

  3. Judges, like many of the authority figures in America are so disconnected to reality and the Constitution and there is apparently no apparatus in place to put them back on the right track. It is people like this asshat who need to feel the pain. No, that's no threat. Individuals cannot solve such problems. The answer is to somehow cause the vast majority of the population to once again attain a patriotic, intelligent, critical thought capability. We're clearly going in the wrong direction as a country.

  7. Get Jews out of the law schools both as professors, and students, then get them off the Bench as much as possible, and you will see a vast improvement in our system of meting out justice and in our general quality of life almost immediately.

Ot wasn't a JUDGE who ordered D'Souza to enter government re-education program, it was a JEWISH judge.

Do you realize there are THREE JEWS on the Supreme Court –– one of them certainly a LESBIAN –– in a still-basically Christian country where Jews comprise less than TWO-PERCENT of the population?

And before you say it, I know John Roberts is not a Jew, but we must remember he was TAUGHT by Jews.

Let the name-calling begin. I don't give a damn, and will remain unimpressed..

    1. Berman is a JEW! Just look at his sour, hyper-judgmental, stone-hearted FACE. How much MORE do you need to know for God's sake.

Read David Horowitz's RADICAL SON –– as harsh an indictment of America's rotten, stinkin' LEFTIST JEWS as could be written, and Horowitz IS a Jew.

Michael Savage (né Weiner) is another Jew who's told the world how HEINOUS his own people have been in the prominent role they've played producing our present downfall.

  11. Kafka-esque.

    Stalin-esque.

The judge's words "unrepentant" and "arrogant" apply to politicians -- and judges, too. Judge Berman is the personification of pot-kettle. Sheesh.

BTW, D'Souza did apologize for the donation malfeasance and admitted wrongdoing and deserving punishment for that donation malfeasance. In fact, he so stated in the film America: Imagine a World without Her. Watch the film for yourselves to hear the repentance and apology.

    1. Thank you, AOW for your astute assessment and understanding of Judge BERMAN'S character and likely motivation. The judge is a PRICK to put it ever-so gently.

However, I'm disappointed in D'Souza FOR apologizing. He had nothing to apologize FOR. The "law" he "broke" is asinine –- a politically-motivated TRAP devised to stifle freedom of political expression –– an abuse and a distortion of the Founders' understanding of Fairness and Equality.

The Founders meant for us to be free –– within a certain natural pecking order –– to do our darndest to gain ascendancy and get our own way, as long as our actions do not involve murder, rape, mayhem, theft, vandalism, arson, kidnapping or extortion. Everything ELSE is up for grabs –– or should be –- so the man with the longest, strongest arms –– and the most DETERMINATION –– generally wins.

No matter how we might like to deny it Survival of the Fittest is the way things are intended to be, and that's why we must try always to be strong and never never NEVER give up any advantages we have for ANY reason.

Only a fool gives up what he has without a fight, unless he's hopelessly outgunned, as the Confederacy surely was during Lincoln's War–– a tragic conflict that should ever have taken place.

Well, one of the major points of the film was the importance of adhering to the U.S. Constitution as our rule of civil law.

I understand what you are saying. But, truly, picking and choosing which laws to obey? I can't go along with that.

Our Constitution is packed with safeguards -- with checks and balances. What has happened, of course, is that we are now ruled by a triumvirate which is cronyism among all three branches: legislative, executive, and judicial.

Ultimately, the fault of what has happened to America lies with the electorate. Elections have consequences.

    3. Time to get reacquainted with Emerson's essay on CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE.

Knuckling under to bad laws made by unscrupulous, self-serving people in order to THWART the original intent of the Constitution is tantamount to the Germans' blithe complicity with Nazi atrocities. "We were only following orders," they said. Remember?

And oh how we vilified them for daring to use that –– obedience to THEIR own laws –– as an excuse for not effectively committing SUICIDE by standing up to speak against Hitler. [To oppose Der Fuehrer at that time was a guarantee you'd be taken into custody and propped up in front of a firing squad, IF you were lucky.]

GroupThink of ANY variety is the most dangerous societal force on the planet. An older name for it is MOB RULE.

Nevertheless, a devilishly clever, always twisted use of an alien "host" society's very own laws, customs, principles, ideals and mores to DEFEAT and DESTROY that alien society from WITHIN is a Hallmark of the Jews. It's what they tend to DO, because of their powerful resistance to assimilation. By the time anyone gets wise to it, it's much, much, much too late to do anything about it, and THAT is why WE presently languish in a moribund condition.

    4. FT,
I cannot equate campaign-donation laws with Germans' blithe complicity with Nazi atrocities.

    5. I'M equating the attitude that "The Law is the Law and therefore MUST be obeyed" with Naziism.

The Law is an ASS. When I can't respect it, I don't obey it.

    1. I think this Judge BERMAN is a STALINIST at heart, AOW, as most of those people who rise high in the legal profession usually are and always have been. The superiority of their intelligence is unquestionable, their mental acuity astonishing, their zeal in applying themselves to the acquisition of factual knowledge is unrivaled and unsurpassed. HOWEVER, the cunning often duplicitous use they've made of these advantages has had a devastating effect on Western Christian Civilization. They have in effect BLINDSIDED us, because THEY play –– and have ALWAYS played –– by an entirely different set of rules. None of them is burdened with a Christian conscience, yet they are very quick to chastise any of "us" for not acting in a perfectly ethical and principled manner –– a shameless application of an infuriating double standard.

But of course "everyone" has been so brainwashed by now they're panting like mad dogs, and champing at the bit to lynch ME for daring to say these things out loud.
