The Trouble with Trump?

Yes he said it politically incorrect, but are we really to believe that this is not on the minds of all citizens that we should be better at vetting people who come here and/or are already here?
This was not a very smart way to say it but it is still a legitimate issue.
How many attacks by Islamist extremists have there been around the world in the name of Islam? About 19,000,in case you were wondering. How many have happened  against Americans?
Let’s not forget Lockerbie  and 9/11. Then we have Fort Hood and Tennessee. Now we have San Bernadino and of course the Boston Marathon. And we are to believe it is Donald Trump causing the fear? We don't need Trump to stir up fears. The fears have been here since 9/11 especially.
Let’s look at the recent Paris attack.
Europe is taking more steps in security again terrorism. France even closed down 3 Mosques and  Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, called for a global fight against terrorism.
So maybe many people do not like what Trump said but the bottom line is IMO he is correct in that he also said “until we can figure out WTH we are doing.”
Meanwhile in NY where new homes are being built in a Jewish Community there has been targets of arson. Just sayin’.
So next time anyone sees something, remember not to say something for fear of being sued or being the target of a full on media attack.
Meanwhile 2 day after the president said no ground troops in Syria he is sending ground troops to Syria. So I guess if the left isn't outraged about this then they are a bunch of lying phonies.
Just goes to prove whatever Obama does ,they are 100% on board.

  1. Tashfeen Malik got her VISA after lying in her interview and our president still wants to allow more to locate here saying the vetting process works. The same president who numerous times has said ISIL is contained while just yesterday Ash Carter the Sec/Defense said ISIL isn't contained....who the hell is telling us the truth.

  7. Well Gee! It seems as if no one disagrees with Trump, except the Slime Balls at the Progressive blog. They why are the Dems and GOP so insistent that his comments were bad? Because they are that out of touch of thier constituents. They have to follow a prepared agenda and the voters apparently cannot sway that. What's even more interesting is the Gallop poll taken on the same subject says 80% says it's disqualifying and there is only a 1% margin of error. This shows Trump is the man when he can hear the people, be a voice for the people and still piss off both the president and congress!

    3. As dumb as Carter was, I see why he deported Iranians. From what I learned from the late Israeli Military General Shimon Erem, Jimmy Carter foolishly destroyed 30 years of military ground intelligence by ordering it be destroyed during the early part of his Presidency. By the time he realized how serious his blunders were, it was too late. Carter tried to redeem himself by deporting a huge number of Iranians while trying to protect the US from his blunders. He did not deport all Iranians, just the ones who were determined to be linked in some way to the Ayatollah. I happened to have an Iranian classmate of Armenian descent whose family came to the USA as political refugees. The guy's father had worked for the Shah in a small position. As a result of the overthrow, the Ayatollah issued a death fatwa against the agent and all his relatives. One of my high school teachers asked him in class to tell us what he was up against, and he gave us the gory details of what Khomeini did to the citizens of Iran. There were agents of Khomeini in the United States trying to hunt his family down while Carter was in office. Fortunately, the family had an unlisted number they couldn't track down. To this day, I won't mention his name for his safety, in case ISIS and other Muslims are still trying to track his family down. This refugee wasn't a Muslim, since his family knew their history of Muslims attacking Armenians.

    7. In some regions, religious pluralism was part and parcel to both their cultural tradition and legal jurisdictions. Many states incorporated disestablishment from the beginning—even if the Protestant faith was either explicitly or implicitly required for office holders. Other states maintained an established religion or an allegiance to a particular denomination. New Hampshire (the Congregational Church) and South Carolina (the Episcopal Church) didn’t abolish state-funded sponsorship of a specific religion until after the Constitution was ratified. For Connecticut and Massachusetts, Congregationalism remained the established religion until 1818 and 1833, respectively.

That established religion did not cease at the dawn of America, supposedly the bastion of religious liberty, may strike modern readers as contradictory. Yet the contested idea of “religious freedom” is a fluid concept understood in different ways within different settings, and is more indicative of an individual or culture’s assumptions than is a statement of how things actually are. Many citizens in the early republic, while acknowledging that everyone had a right to private worship, believed that the government would only succeed if it incorporated Christian morals; their providential outlook designated that if America didn’t fulfill its biblical covenant, it could not prosper. Maintaining an established religion while allowing the freedom of individual worship, then, was understood to be a compromise that enabled institutional righteousness while not infringing on the private conscience.

Even those states that didn’t establish a state religion often retained Protestantism as a barrier for civic service. North Carolina’s original constitution, for instance, while refusing to sanction an established religion, declared that “no person who shall deny the being of God, or the truth of the Protestant religion, or the divine authority of either the Old or New Testaments” would be eligible for “holding any office” (Article 32). Such stipulations were common throughout the states. The competing impulses to enshrine religious liberty as a hallmark of the country’s foundation while still positing America as a Christian nation led to paradoxical and, at times, seemingly contradictory beliefs and practices.

    The crowds stopped roaring
And vacated the arena long ago.
The spectacle had reached the point
    Where it no longer titillated,
    No longer shocked, depressed,
    Annoyed, or inspired
    Even the faintest semblance
    Of empathy, interest or concern.

    Evening shadows lengthen
    Darkening the tarmac.
    The sky purples, then blackens.
    There is no moon tonight.
    She has taken refuge ––
    Along with the stars ––
    Behind a thick blanket
    Of lowering thunderclouds.

    And still
The weary gladiators fight on ––
    Unaware that the sweet Release,
    The blessed Relief ––
    The Peace
    ––The Joy––
    Of Death
    Can never overtake
    Warrior-clowns
    Thrusting in futility
    In the vast emptiness
    Of Cyberspace.
    Their Agony shall be
    Eternal.
