    1. The neoliberal project is to turn the "nation-state" into a "market-state," one with the primary agenda of facilitating global capital accumulation unburdened from any legal regulations aimed at assuring welfare of citizens. In summary, neoliberalism seeks unbridled accumulation of capital through a rollback of the state, and limits its functions to minimal security and maintenance of law, fiscal and monetary discipline, flexible labor markets, and liberalization of trade and capital flows.

Zombie time at campaign Hillary: Camille Paglia on Trump’s real strength and Clinton’s fatal sleepwalking

The media covers for Hillary on her email scandal while Trump gallops through the non-stop artillery barrage

    CAMILLE PAGLIA

It’s zombie time at campaign Hillary. Behold the dead men walking! It was with strangely slow, narcotized numbness that the candidate and her phalanx of minions and mouthpieces responded to last week’s punishing report by the State Department’s Inspector General about her email security lapses. Do they truly believe, in the rosy alternate universe of Hillaryland, that they can lie their way out of this? Of course, they’re relying as usual on the increasingly restive mainstream media to do their dirty work for them. If it were a Republican in the crosshairs, Hillary’s shocking refusal to meet with the Inspector General (who interviewed all four of the other living Secretaries of State of the past two decades) would have been the lead item flagged in screaming headlines from coast to coast. Let’s face it—the genuinely innocent do not do pretzel twists like this to cover their asses.

Meanwhile, former Bill Clinton advisor and pollster Douglas Schoen gave the strongest signal yet in a Wall Street Journal op-ed this week (“Clinton may not be the nominee”) that worried backstage huddles in the Democratic party establishment are reaching fever pitch. ...

    and unmarked’ classified info

    By Niall Stanage - 06/02/16

Hillary Clinton opened fire with both barrels on Donald Trump on Thursday, in a speech that was instantly recognized as a big moment in the incipient general election campaign.

Clinton called Trump “temperamentally unfit” for the presidency during a foreign policy address in San Diego that was infused with disdain for the presumptive GOP nominee.

The tone and tenor of Clinton’s speech elated Democrats, who have been concerned about opinion polls showing a closer than expected race between her and Trump.

“She f*ckin' rocked it!!” exulted Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen in an email to The Hill.

Fears had also been growing about Clinton’s perceived weaknesses as a campaigner as she struggles to close-out Bernie Sanders in a tougher-than-expected Democratic primary.

The doubts were quieted in the aftermath of the speech.
Clinton argued that Trump’s version of foreign policy was comprised of “not even really ideas, just a series of bizarre rants, personal feuds and outright lies” and asserted that one of his few skills was “composing nasty tweets.” She added — correctly — “I’m willing to bet he’s writing a few right now.”

On Twitter, Trump complained that “Crooked Hillary no longer has credibility” and followed up by asserting that the former secretary of State was “reading poorly” from a teleprompter and “doesn’t even look presidential.”

The businessman’s pushback was seen by some as evidence that the former secretary of State had got under his skin.

Meanwhile, the acclaim for Clinton’s address was near-universal in liberal quarters. The Huffington Post declared it “her best speech yet.” David Axelrod, a former key aide to President Obama who is now a CNN contributor, tweeted that Clinton was “Prosecuting @realDonaldTrump with his own words & to good effect. Brutal takedown.”

Clinton’s remarks came as her lead against Trump in the RealClearPolitics (RCP) national polling average has dwindled to a negligible 1.5 percentage points. ...

Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton in a tight race in California as the campaign batters her popularity

    BY CATHLEEN DECKER

    June 2, 2016

Hillary Clinton’s popularity has slumped in California under an unrelenting challenge from Bernie Sanders, who has succeeded in breaching the demographic wall Clinton had counted on to protect her in the state’s presidential primary, a new USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times poll has found.

As he has done across the country this primary season, Sanders commands the support of younger voters by huge margins in advance of Tuesday’s primary — even among Latinos and Asians, voter groups that Clinton easily won when she ran eight years ago. Many of his backers come from a large pool of voters who have registered for the first time in the weeks before the election.

Yet, Tuesday’s outcome remains difficult to predict, precisely because of the untested nature of Sanders’ following. That portends an intense fight in the final days of the campaign.

The Vermont senator has battled Clinton to a draw among all voters eligible for the Democratic primary, with 44% siding with him to 43% for Clinton. That represented a nine-point swing from a USC/Los Angeles Times poll in March, in which Clinton led handily ...

On Thursday, while campaigning in California, former Secretary of State and presumptive Democratic nominee for President weighed in on the debate. After being asked for her thoughts on the situation, Hillary Clinton took the opportunity to take some questions about the police violence and racial tension in America.

When asked about the shooting of the Gorilla in the Cincinnati Zoo, she responded...
“I will tell you one thing,” Clinton said to a group of reporters. “If that gorilla was white, this situation would have ended differently. This was another senseless act of violence that spawned from prejudicial views about skin color.”

“Trayvon Martin, Freddie Gray, Michael Brown — now you can add Harambe to that list,” Clinton continued.

“Another life has been ended because people reacted quickly and let their prejudices overtake their capacity for logical thought.”

  29. Hillary Clinton, who is the front-running presidential candidate for the Democrat’s who doesÅ„t do interviews, and how doesn’t answer questions, finally sat down with CNN on and said, "People should and do trust me." New York Times columnist Bill Safire must be rolling in his grave. A 1996 essay of his, "Blizzard of Lies," began, "Americans of all political persuasions are coming to the sad realization that our first lady — a woman of undoubted talents who was a role model for many in her generation — is a congenital liar." White House Press Secretary responded: The lies he catalogued back then included her phony explanation for a 10,000% profit in 1979 commodity trading, which "amounted to a $100,000 bribe"; the firing of White House travel aides, "who were then harassed by the FBI and Justice Department to justify patronage replacement by Mrs. Clinton's cronies"; and "lying when she denied actively representing a criminal enterprise known as the Madison S&L."
    TRUST HER? IS SHE KIDDING?
"She is in the longtime habit of lying," Safire wrote nearly two decades ago, "and she has never been called to account for lying herself or in suborning lying in her aides and friends."

"Trust me" is a game the Clintons have been playing for a long time.
No candidate has ever been less qualified to hold the office of President...
And considering the present occupant of the White House, that's really saying something.

And I blame the Progressive Nazi Politicians, because this is exactly what they do . I blame the over 40% of the American population who are ignorant enough to vote for stooges like Hillary Clinton...
Everyday we get new articles and more and more proof that she is a crook, lair, thief, and a corrupt politician, and so on we all know for decades that this old shit stain is a corrupt hag, the question is, will she face jail time for all this lawlessness!? Will there ever be a end to this dog and pony show with Hillary Clinton!?

  31. OFF TOPIC:

ABBOTT and COSTELLO'S BRILLIANT EXPLANATION of a CRUCIAL ISSUE

COSTELLO: I want to talk about the unemployment rate in America .

ABBOTT: Good Subject. Terrible Times. It’s 5.6%.

COSTELLO: That many people are out of work?

    ABBOTT: No, that’s 23%.

    COSTELLO: You just said 5.6%.

    ABBOTT: 5.6% Unemployed.

COSTELLO: Right 5.6% out of work.

    ABBOTT: No, that’s 23%.

COSTELLO: Okay, so it’s 23% unemployed.

    ABBOTT: No, that’s 5.6%.

COSTELLO: WAIT A MINUTE. Is it 5.6% or 23%?

ABBOTT: 5.6% are unemployed. 23% are out of work.

COSTELLO: If you are out of work you are unemployed.

ABBOTT: No, Obama said you can’t count the “Out of Work” as the unemployed. You have to look for work to be unemployed.

COSTELLO: BUT THEY ARE OUT OF WORK!!!

ABBOTT: No, you miss his point.

    COSTELLO: What point?

ABBOTT: Someone who doesn’t look for work can’t be counted with those who look for work. It wouldn’t be fair.

    COSTELLO: To whom?

    ABBOTT: The unemployed.

COSTELLO: But ALL of them are out of work.

ABBOTT: No, the unemployed are actively looking for work. Those who are out of work gave up looking and if you give up, you are no longer in the ranks of the unemployed.

COSTELLO: So if you’re off the unemployment roles that would count as less unemployment?

ABBOTT: Unemployment would go down. Absolutely!

COSTELLO: The unemployment just goes down because you don’t look for work?

ABBOTT: Absolutely it goes down. That’s how it gets to 5.6%. Otherwise it would be 23%.

COSTELLO: Wait, I got a question for you. That means there are two ways to bring down the unemployment number?

    ABBOTT: Two ways is correct.

COSTELLO: Unemployment can go down if someone gets a job?

    ABBOTT: Correct.

COSTELLO: And unemployment can also go down if you stop looking for a job?

    ABBOTT: Bingo.

COSTELLO: So there are two ways to bring unemployment down, and the easier of the two is to have people stop looking for work.

ABBOTT: Now you’re thinking like a Democrat.

COSTELLO: I don’t even know what the hell I just said!

  32. Check this out and learn . If you're really interested you can find the data on how the method of determining the unemployment rate has changed. More than once.

    ReplyDelete
  33. It doesn't matter WHO or When the deceptive practice of calculating the Unemployment Rate was introduced. It still falls under the heading of Blue Smoke and Mirrors –– i.e. Self-serving Government Chicanery.

As of this moment, very close to NINETY-FIVE-MILLION persons over the age of sixteen are NOT participating in the work force.

That must be close to HALF the population eligible to look for work. How could that possibly be considered "good" by even the wildest stretchy of the imagination?

Face it, RN, –– and all you other advocates of Statist-Collectivist-Interventionism out there:

    GOVERNMENT IS THE GREAT DECEIVER.

"Figures may not lie, but liars always figure."

We long ago reached the point where Government stopped regarding it self as The Servant of the People, reversed course, and decided its job was to act as Our Fearful Master.

    GOVERNMENT IS FRAUDULENT.

  34. So, you are essentially advocating Anarcho-Capitalism. Perhaps out right anarchy?

You're a very bright individual FreeThinke, and, I accepted much of what you say. Still do, with respect to some things like accepting individual personal responsibility for your actions and taking opportunity by its horns and making the most of it, and respecting the rule of law

But, the more I read the more I become convinced capitalism is burning itself out. Further I believe it is the natural result of the innovative and dynamic nature of constantly increasing productivity improvements. A good thing.

However, with increasing productivity, producing more with fewer people (variable overhead/costs) combined with mechanization, and the advent of AI there is going to be a time when there simply will not be work for people. Certainly not work in the conventional sense. In other words people (society) will need to change their paradigms with espect how they view value as it relates to life. Because the work equals self respect paradigm (so right since the first industrial revolution) is going to be blown to hell, the result of mechanization, technology, and AI.

I doubt you agree FreeThinke but you must admit times are a changing. Faster with more profound implications than ever before.

BTW, a statist I am not. But I am a realist and I try, not always successfully, to look beyond the confines of a frozen paradigm.

    1. What's more important, cheap efficiently produced products and a society where 90% contribute nothing and are "superfluous", or a society that isn't nearly as "efficient" but 90% of society's members contribute "what they can" and are able to maintain a "respectable" life? The time has come to "choose". And Hillary is choosing the former.

    3. Your rather myopic view on present realities is not unique anc is to some degree understandable.

To put it simply many are barking up the wrong tree looking for solutions.

Mechanization, technology, and AI, whether anyone likes it or not is changing the world and old classical economic theories are going to be swept away.

We all will be left to deal with it.

    9. Ever stop and consider that perhaps the "reason" why the "new" (post 1945) economic theories are no longer working is because the ole "discreditted" theories were completely abandoned?

  35. TRUTH is the BEDROCK of EXISTENCE. It is ETERNAL, IMMUTABLE, PERFECT and COMPLETE.

All the troubles of Mankind stem from Man's, apparent, compulsion to DENY, DEFY, and do everything possible to CIRCUMVENT the TRUTH.

This, of course, is what we're supposed to learn from the parable of Adam and Eve's sad misadventures in the Garden of Eden.

We never seem to learn that THERE IS NO "EASY" WAY to live life to the fullest.

I don't deny any the horrific changes taking place, but I never have –– and never will –– regard Change for the Sake of Change as "Progress."

If people could learn to understand –– and abide by –– the difference between being a "Realist," and being a "Cynic," our species might be able to make genuine Progress.

  37. Not all of the changes taking place are horrible. At least not in my way of thinking FreeThinke.

Truth is vitally important I agree. For that very reason expanding knowledge combined with our growing ecperiences as a society is critical to our very existence. It is how we CHOOSE to use additional knowledge and experience that really matters. IMHO.

We can neither prove or disprove the existance of a supreme creator, nor does this matter really. I find it interesting that the monotheistic faiths of the world have historically believed their faith is the only true right faith. Setting up perpetual conflict and war. It seems odd to me.

Man is his own worst enemy, regardless of the choice of faith. Faith has been a dismal failure throughout history and will continue to remain so. Unless and until all faiths truly learn to respect the faith of all others.

What should seem odd to you is that the pagan faiths were extremely violent and conflict filled, and yet you single out monotheistic faiths for criticism.
