Paul is doing well with is treatments. He had a tough first week but is slowly bouncing back. He has 3 more chemo treatments and is finished with radiation which he had to his head and lower back. No more lower back pain and the Dr is hopeful the radiation will eradicate the brain lesions. One more spot on the lung that they are hoping to shrink with the chemo and then eradicate with radiation.
They haven't seen it anywhere else so that's a good thing.
So once he is off the steroids he will feel more normal again. Those steroids have some crappy side effects but are necessary. He also received immune therapy drugs in the chemo IV which is has been successful in the experimental stages. That is a pretty new thing they do now. and another drug that stimulate the bone marrow all to search out and destroy cancer cells.
So far we are doing ok and the other good thing is that his treatments are only 20 minutes away as we live very close to the North Shore Technology Center .
Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes . Please continue to wish us luck as we continue down this unfamiliar territory..
