Martina McBride's is my favorite version. I just don't like the way that chicks like Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion, Maria Carey, etc. oversing all the time. It's just kind of a personal preference thing, I guess.
years back.... like a ton...there was a dude who sang it on a World Serious game that was stunning... I think it was Smokey Robinson or some other R&B guy.... it was magnificent. Cant remember who.
But how can that be? I thought you were a racist?

ReplyDeletedo like Martina McBride's' version too. I hate the way some of these women make single syllable words and turn them into 4 and 5 syllable words.
ReplyDeleteTHAT is what I'm talkin' 'bout!
ReplyDeleteI think Jimi Hendrix is still my favorite.

ReplyDeleteYeah Jimi Hendrix was insanely amazing.
ReplyDeleteI know there are many who sang it but I was just remebering the Super Bowl ones. But wasn't that little girl like one of the best?
