Those other countries do have it right. But the last time the US had a major protest movement, it was Occupy.... and Occupy fought for more authoritarianism, more central top-down control, less accountability in government, and more rights for the rulers and less for the people.
The opposite of what these foreign protesters demand. Maybe we can learn something from them.
In my town, the local Occupy movement is known for shoving an old lady to the ground for daring to enter the door of a bank disliked by Occupy in order to do her banking business.
