I HAVE A DREAM, I MEAN A PLAN

So anyone watch the Peter,Paul and Mary reunion last night? At least that is what it felt like to me.
I mean are we really to believe that any of these 3 are the ones we want to listen to for another 4 years?
I didn't hear anything about how to get our economy moving . I just keep hearing more words about the same ol' same ol'. Extend the family leave, that's if you have a job. Increase the minimum wage, that's if you have a job. equal pay for women, that's if you have the "same" job as a man.
The old socialist bashing the rich,Hillary calling the huge increase of healthcare costs on the middle class "A glich" Even Martha Raddatz was taken aback surprisingly.
How about that 3 old white seniors with nothing new to offer but words and more of the same.
But hey they all have a plan and if you want to know what those plans are just visit our website,we don't need to tell you anything.

But what difference does it make anyway? Hillary already has it in the bag. Because we really need to stop this war on women and build upon this disastrous healthcare law that is like a wet blanket over our economy.
I am sure there is a plan for that on her website as well. Just visit and type in 'Bigot' and I am sure Donald Trump will pop up on the screen

  2. I think your comments about the healthcare plan and equal pay and raising the minimum wage are well founded and substantive...plenty to consider in the coming election.
Your image of PP & M cracked me up....there's a special on them PBS shows often and, really, they ARE more like 3 Bernie Sanders in their politics, but........you made a good choice.

I wouldn't mind listening to them SING for the next four years, but spare me the typical PBS liberal pablum WE have to pay for.
Gad, I wish liberals had to pay for someone like Sean Hannity; maybe THEN they'd see why Conservatives are tired paying for PBS' "stop capitalism" specials and other constant liberal programming.

  3. By the way...how hard is it to run as a Democrat? Promise Americans you'll pay for their healthcare, their college, their childcare, their salaries, etc, etc ...everything. DONE. Is that some kind of secret? Why can't many Americans understand that?

  4. You summed up last night's "debate" very well, Lisa. It was –– like the other so-called debates –– a sort of pageant designed to affirm Hillary's nomination without saying so out loud.

Rich-bashing, Trump-bashing, Republican-bashing, and a seemingly endless series of "I will fight for you to get you" this, that and the other thing with no discussion of how any of them plan to PAY for all the seemingly unlimited free services they say they plan to provide.

I suppose another round or ten of "hot checks" issued with fiat money that has no tangible asset to back it up will be expected to keep the masses happy. What ELSE could they possibly have in mind? Oh RAISING TAXES, of course, but where will they get the money once they've finally bled "the rich" to death?

As the cliché says, "Socialism is a lovely thing –– until you run out of OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY."

That said, the RINO Establishment in no better than the DNC and its minions. BOTH parties stink to high heaven, And that is why a character like Donald Trump has so much appeal. I only wish I could believe that he, Trump, isn't in on the gag and playing us all for a bunch of suckers.

In fairness I do have to say that Martin O'Malley speaks very well, is articulate, has a good resonant clear voice with no trace of a regional or low-class accent. He also seems very sincere, and makes a fine appearance. I was surprised at how intelligent and on top of the game he appeared, BUT we know that O'Malley doesn't stand anymore chance of getting the D'Rat nomination than you, I, or Lyndon LaRouche. ;-) Besides that, the State of Maryland, which he says he ran with admirable economy, and the City of Baltimore of which he was Mayor are some of the worst areas in the country second only to Detroit, Chicago, the State of Illinois, California, and the District of Columbia.

I thought the moderators played the game very well. They did not appear as biased in favor of the D'Rats as they usually do, and as you pointed out Martha Radich (?) asked some honest tough questions in a professionally neutral tone which spoke very well for her. The other moderator, whose name I can't recall, seemed to be fighting to control the candidates too much of the time. Very frankly, I like the way O'Malley kept on talking, held the floor and said what he wanted to say with considerable force.

Bernie, despite his godawful Brooklyn Jewish accent, comes across as likable, despite his loud blustering tone, because he seems –– dare i say it? –– SINCERE.

I can like someone, even when I disagree strongly with him, if I believe he means what he says.

Hillagrinch, as always, sounded harsh, abrasive, devoid of affection, tone deaf and spectacularly lacking in grace, charm and sincerity, though her appearance has improved considerably since she hired a new fashion consultant and started to wear a wig.

It would be quite refreshing if the many on the right saw in themselves that which they so clearly see in the left. And, quite frankly, the same can be said of the many on the left as well.

Personally I thank you FreeThinke for so eloquently pointing this out. Whether it changes the tone of right/left discussion and debate on this board or others remain to be seen. Introspection is always more difficult for some than to find fault in others.
