Thank you

Thank you all for your kind words and condolences as my family struggles with the loss of our beloved Paul. We had a beautiful service for him. Many great stories and laughs as he was a smart, funny, kind, honest and brave person. He is greatly missed by so many. I shall return as I adjust to this "new normal"

  1. God bless you. Lisa!

I can't say more. I've probably said too much already, but believe me, I feel for you at this most difficult time.

  2. I got your back, Lisa, my Sister In Christ. The Donkey's Revenge blog team is keeping a post open for anyone who wishes to talk about anything else while you get some needed rest and comfort. Take care! I'll stop by here often. I might not reply much during the stops, but I will keep reading.

  3. I got prompted to stop by here today. How is your fur baby Tucker doing? I'm sure he must miss his daddy as much as everyone else in your family.

  5. Goose, one question for you: Are you trying to cook your gander here? It's not wise to beak Lisa's loyal followers. My team mates opened a space for others to speak their minds openly while Lisa mourns the loss of her husband. We're keeping the blog posts unmoderated for now at The Donkey's Revenge site. Even the liberal troll Dervish Sanders came by. We're a bit snarky to keep things light, even when the topic can sometimes be dark.

    1. I feel the same, Moonie, but long ago I resigned myself to acknowleding this sad, sick truth:

"Every Turd spends his existence longing to find a Punchbowl he can pollute."

That, of course, is the original meaning of Party Pooper. };^D>

Honor, Decency, Empathy, Tact, Restraint and Cordiality are concepts unknown in the Turd World –– and all too rare elsewhere these days as well.

      'Nuff said!

  6. A COMFORTNG REMINDER THAT LIFE IS ETERNAL, AND WE SHALL MEET AGAIN

    ______ Eternal, Never New ______

The years are naught but Man's invention,
    As is Time, itself.
'Tis been, since Eve, Man's mad intention
    To manage Life, himself.

In Truth what is has always been,
    And will last evermore. ––
A perspective few have ever seen ––
    A sea without a shore.

    We drift quite helplessly upon
    The surface of the waves
    Charting courses, till we've gone,
    Instead, on to our graves.

Though we may seem to disappear
    From our loved ones' view,
    There isn't anything to fear
    We shall return anew.

    This never ending cycle
    Upon the shoreless sea
No matter what we’d like to think
    Recurs eternally.

  9. If that picture of a dark-haired young man with beautiful eyes is Paul, he looks like he must have been as wonderful a person as you said, Lisa.

Nothing could ever take that away from you as long as you live.

  10. Yes FT that is Paul in younger days . I just love that picture.I am trying to get back in the swing of things. As you can see I changed the header

    1. So glad to see you here, Lisa, but please don't pushyourself too hard to get back to "normal." Grieving takes time.

At the same time if you can get involved with a project you believe in, it helps a lot to keep you from going to the bottom of the pits – at least that has been true for me on the occasiions when tragedy struck.

I do LOVE your TREASON'S GREETINGS banner. It's wonderful to see yu haven't lost your sense of humor. The only thing wrong is the way those photos FLATTERS the villains –– especially Pelousy. }:^[>

God bless you, and keep you always, Lisa.

All the best to Joey too!

  14. _ A Christmas Kitten _

    I was a cuddly kitten,
But now I am a stray,
When I grew no longer fluffy,
They sent me on my way.

They've kept their great big watchdog,
Since he can bark and growl,
But I could fly at strangers,
If I caught them on the prowl.

    I slink around their garbage can;
    I mew outside their door;
But it's clear from their behaviour,
    They don't want me anymore.

    Now I'm cold and hungry,
    And getting very thin,
What have I done to hurt them,?
Why won't they let me in?

I crouch in sheds and boxes,
    Shivering in my thinning fur,
    So sad I’ve been rejected,
    I can no longer purr.

    They have another kitten now,
    For Christmas morn's delight;
    But probably next Christmas,
He will have to share my plight.

    2. Those who use the term 'real Americans' to express their lame convictions and not one themselves. Just selfish pricks.

Really? 'Real Amercians' don't benefit from social security, roads and highways, railways, schools, post offices, police departments, fire departments, US Military, NASA achievements, Medicare.
Unlike Republicans, 'Real Americans' are not racists, misogynists and homophobic. Nor do they hate anyone unlike their lily white asses or scorn those who have less than them.

      Stop being a stupid wiener.

  19. Don't let Dark Forces dreary drag you down..
Don't let ill-natured Others make you frown.
    Remember every single Lovely Thing
That made your heart feel a strong urge to sing.
    Each depressing enervating thought
    Uttered by vexatious spirits fraught
    With ugly agitating,bitter things
Must be countered by a heart that flies on wings.
Resist those who'd drag you down to Hell
    By singing joyously "Nowell! Nowell!
Nowell! Nowll! Born is the King of Israel"

  23. _______ On Christmas Day _______

On Christmas Day the King of Kings is born
New each year since first appeared the Star.
    Children breathlessly await the morn,
Hope for gifts, not knowing that they are
    Royally endowed with rich rewards
    Internally. because our God above
Sent His Son, the tiny Lord of Lords
To demonstrate the power of His Love.
Mammon calls, and parents feel they must
    Afford material delights that glow
    Seductively inflaming vicious lust
Denying Mind and Spirit’s need to grow.
A trough not fit for kin that nourished kine
Yields again the King of Love Divine.

  24. A WELCOME CHRISTMAS GIFT from MOTHER ENGLAND:

“As Prime Minister That Is Something I Want to Change” – In His Christmas Message Prime Minister Boris Johnson Defends Persecuted Christians

    Gateway Pundit

    by Jim Hoft

In his first Christmas message to the country, Prime Minister Boris Johnson addressed the global persecution of Christians. Johnson promised those persecuted Christians that Great Britain under his leadership will defend their right to practice their faith. It’s great to have a real UK leader in charge again.Prime Minister Boris Johnson: Today of all days, I want us to remember those Christians around the world who are facing persecution. For them Christmas day will be marked in private, in secret, perhaps even in a prison cell. As Prime Minister, that is something I want to change. We stand with Christians everywhere . . .

I thiNK WE SHOUULD tAKE tHE LANDSLIDE VOTE OF CONFIDENCE FOR BRITAIN'S BORIS JOHNSON AS AN ESPECIALLY GOOD OMEN FOR THE COMING YEAR. ENGLAND MAY STILL BE ENGLAND AFtER ALL. HOPE CONTINUES TO SPRING ETERNAL. WE HAVE NOT DESCENDED INTO HELL –– YET.

  25. _____SSAMTSIRHC YRREM _____

So, once again the Savior’s Birth draws near,
And once again we feel an Obligation
Much to spend before another year
Takes us to the Brink of Desperation.

Salvation offered freely as a Gift?
    It surely has a catch in it somewhere;
Rarely do The Powers give a Lift ~~
Happy as they seem to strip us bare.

Christmas comes to change all that, however,
Yet so few can clearly see the Road
Reaching far beyond what’s merely clever
Revealing heaven’s Peace to each Abode.

Each challenge met with hopeful Attitude
Makes a cheer-filled Life defined by Gratitude.
