Mary Trump Book Will Drop Two Weeks Early
ReplyDeleteSimon & Schuster, which is publishing Mary Trump's memoir/takedown Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World's Most Dangerous Man, announced Monday that they would be moving the book's publication date from July 28 to July 14.
The publisher's thinking here is plain. First of all, they want to minimize the amount of time available for more court rulings, any one of which may be adverse to publication. Indeed, if they are to get the book in stores (and in mail-order customers' hands) by next Tuesday, they will have to start distributing copies today (if they haven't already). So, the die is effectively cast, and the book is not going to remain under wraps, despite the efforts of Donald Trump and his brother.
A second benefit to moving up the publication schedule, of course, is that sales will likely get a boost from all the recent lawsuit-related publicity. Third, and finally, this maneuver will help to blunt the impact of pirated copies on file-sharing sites, particularly if Simon & Schuster has reason to believe that there are some of them already out there.
We already know the broad outlines of what the book says (the President is psychologically damaged, and has been since he was a kid). It will be interesting to see if Donald Trump can control himself, or if he feels the need to jump on Twitter and blast the book, thus giving it even more publicity (hint: he can't control himself). It will also be interesting to see what argument(s) Mary Trump uses when it comes time to figure out if she violated her NDA. (Z)

President Donald Trump’s academic history is coming under scrutiny as a new book alleges he cheated his way into college.
ReplyDeleteThose accusations are more than a little ironic given his frequent and unsubstantiated claims that former President Barack Obama was a “terrible student.”
Mary Trump, the president’s niece, reportedly writes in Too Much And Never Enough that Trump paid someone to take the SAT to get a high score on his behalf, according to The New York Times.
The White House told Business Insider that the allegations were “completely false.” But the accusations that Trump cheated his way into school paint his own past allegations against Obama in a new light.
“I heard he was a terrible student, terrible. How does a bad student go to Columbia and then to Harvard?” Trump told The Associated Press in 2011. “I’m thinking about it, I’m certainly looking into it. Let him show his records.”
Obama graduated from Columbia with a BA in political science in 1983 and magna cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1991. While at Harvard, he was the first Black president of Harvard Law Review.
Back in 2012, Trump also repeatedly demanded that Obama release his school transcripts. But Trump has refused to release his own academic records and even had his attorney threaten anyone who might reveal them.
Michael Cohen, Trump’s longtime personal lawyer who ultimately turned on him, admitted in Congressional testimony that he was ordered by Trump “to threaten his high school, his colleges and the College Board to never release his grades or SAT scores.”

Goya Foods CEO Robert Unanue has doubled down on his support for Donald Trump saying 'we are with the president' and blasting protesters for 'killing our nation' amid the growing boycott of his family brand.
Unanue showered more praise on Trump in an interview with Fox News Friday, just one day after he spoke at an event in the White House Rose Garden where he told Americans they were 'truly blessed' to have a leader like him.

In my humble opinion, the reason for Mr. Franco Aragosta’s criticism and the insults towards Shaw Kenawe is the following.
ReplyDeleteProgressives have this socialist dream, and find us Conservatives to be repulsive because we find their dream to be more of a nightmare than a dream .
The definition of “Conservatism” is to have traditional views and values, and tending to oppose change! The US government, and that includes the First Lady should not be in the business of educating, and or dictating to the populous. If we let the government control what we eat, what will be next?
Progressives like, and especially Shaw Kenawe have this holier than thou attitude toward us Conservatives. I have spent a great deal of time reading Ms.Kenawe’s blog and I’ve seen her trash the Republicans-Conservatives and called us Rightwing fanatics, and much more. It has been said that “Ignorance is a non curable addiction, stupidity is terminal one”. In Shaw Kenawe’s case, I don’t know which of these applies. Shaw Kenawe tries to impose her illogical opinions on other people perhaps forgetting that this is supposed to be a free country and it’s people to have free ideas and opinions. . Sometimes I think Liberals such as Shaw Kenawe are not playing with a full deck. The “Progressive’s is definitely a party of ignorance, and some people are just too stupid to know that they are a part of it.
Remember, freedom must never be taken for granted. Securing our freedom demands a high price — and that price requires hard work and sacrifice. Both will bind us all by the value they produce, but only if we are willing to seek new opportunities and new ideas. If our nation is to survive this crucible moment, we need to fall back on the God-given values and ideals that are the very foundation of our constitutional republic. Let us not fear the uncertainty that comes with the unknown, instead accept it and fight through that sense of fear.
And we must also remember: That the power of hell, while strong, is limited. God is the ultimate judge and decision maker. His anointed providence is our country, the United States of America
